On June 11th and 12th, the Board conducted interviews for all 10 applicants for the appointment to the vacant seat. The original plan was to appoint someone on June 12th, but the Board changed their mind.
Special Education Townhall
Before school started, there were Townhalls for the elementary and high school students. Upon community request, a special Townhall to address concerns that only impact Special Education families was held. It had to be rescheduled, as a large percentage of special education families did not receive their original invite.

Earlier in the meeting @ 19:24 Wendy stated why we need a separate DEI position: “Provide district with the expertise, the guidance, and the leadership”. This audio clip starts at 19:06 and the Board unanimously supported the creation of this one year contract.
